The bristles are made out of nylon which is not biodegradable but it can still be recycled! They are also soft and safe for the gums! We are also trying to find an alternative by using bamboo instead of nylon for the brushes, but due to some difficulties this will be available in a few months!

Dentists recommend choosing toothbrushes with soft bristles. It is a misconception brushes with harder bristles clean your teeth better. Dentists do not recommend hard or medium bristles because they damage your gums

There are more than 1000 species of bamboo on this planet. We manufacture the bamboo world brush from Moso bamboo. This is not food for our amazing pandas.

Nope. Never. We are certified Cruelty Free and Vegan by PETA's Beauty without Bunnies.

Bamboo is considered a grass and is known to be a highly renewable and sustainable resource. Our toothbrush is made of moso bamboo (Phyllostachys edulis). It is wild grown in the mountains of China using little water and no pesticides. Our bamboo handle and head (minus the bristles) is compostable.

Composting our bamboo toothbrush is super easy! The handle can go directly in your home or farmers market compost. The bristles will need to be removed with pliers and thrown away as they are not compostable. If you do not have pliers or cannot remove the bristles, the head and bristles should be thrown away.We are also trying our best to come up with a 100% biodegradable option without the nylon bristles!
